Free-falling over a coral atoll in an orange jumpsuit, throwing a thumbs up at the camera with the ocean a thousand feet below. Takanaka put himself on the cover of All Of Me in 1979 and somehow made the single most joyful album sleeve in Japanese fusion.
The blues do the work here — deep ocean fading up into that band of cloud along the horizon, the reef curving across the bottom corner. It's a wall of colour before you even register what's happening in it, which is why it reads so well at 5ft across.
